General Description
Geogebra is the mathematical software that has taken the world by storm. Its is free and installed on all the laptops which our students in DET schools are using. This course is part of the ‘Laptop in the Classroom’ series so BRING YOUR OWN LAPTOP.
This course will provide strategies to enhance your lessons and your students' learning. You will finish the day with a thorough working knowledge of Geogebra. Not only that but you will receive a USB key full of resources that you can take home and use at school immediately.
We will also look at how you might create interesting and relevant assessment tasks, allowing you at least in part to step away from the pen and paper model of assessment.

Morris has previously occupied the position of Head of Mathematics and Mathematics Technology at Reddam House, Kincoppal Rose Bay and The Emanuel School in Sydney. Qualified with an M.A. in pure mathematics and a B. Ed. (maths), Morris has experience teaching in a wide variety of schools and has delivered many professional development courses for mathematics teachers both in Australia and overseas. Morris was recognised in 2006 with an Outstanding National Achievement for Excellence by a Teacher the National Awards for Quality Schooling. Morris has also been designated by Apple as a Distinguished Educator.
